Why YOU have hair breakage...

There are TONS of reasons breakage occurs, some that we can’t even control. But let’s talk about the ones we can control and HOW to prevent more breakage from occurring.

1. Incorrect product use - hair is made up of almost 80% moisture, so by constantly drying hair out with heat, sun, etc we are stripping it of what it loves! To correct this, use a moisturizing deep conditioner, leave in conditioner or oils!


2. Tight hair elastics- if you find yourself wearing your hair up a lot, invest in a claw clip or scrunchie rather than a rubber elastic. This will eliminate constant tension and tearing that normal elastics can do.


3. Diet- believe it or not, our hair is affected by our lifestyle! Nutritious foods will improve your body’s function which will then improve how quickly your body allows hair to grow.


4. Towels- you heard that right, towels can actually damage your hair by roughing up the outer layer of hair! Instead, invest in a microfiber towel/cloth, don’t forget your hair is in its most fragile state when wet! So treat it with extra care.
